Dr Matthew Stubbs was the developer on this project, he produced both the front end design and backend architecture and containerised Kernel using Jupyter technology. This was a personal project and no other team members were involved.

Ionic
An open-source mobile UI toolkit for building high quality, cross-platform native and web app experiences. It allows you to use a single code base and port the app to multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and the web. For DataDocs, it was important the code be accessible across all devices, though as the main focus was on coding tutorials, the design was aimed initially at desktop browsers, and then adapted to work for mobile. This decision was made due to the difficulty of coding on a mobile device, making it less likely that people would use the platform on a mobile device.
